"I have been a fan of all things Alice since as far back as I can remember. The Disney movie, the storybooks, Alice herself. In 1999, when I first heard that there would be a PC game based on 'Alice grown up and gone insane', I was so excited. I received it as a birthday gift and was consequently glued to my computer screen for several weeks afterwards."

In the famous storybooks by Lewis Carroll, we learnt of Alice's adventures in Wonderland, the world she conjured up in her imagination. The game picks up a few years after where Through the Looking Glass left off and Alice is now a young woman, devastated and traumatised by the death of her parents in a house fire.

Alice is now thoroughly delirious and being held prisoner in an insane asylum. As the game starts, we witness the fire that killed her family and little Alice in her damp and dingy cell. She is summoned to Wonderland through her dreams and this is where the game takes place. Wonderland, however, has changed dramatically and Alice is greeted with a desolate, diseased atmosphere.

As Alice, the player's job is to return Wonderland to its original spendour, in order to purge your mind of the craziness that is this new, and terrifying, Wonderland.
